Card Organizer

- April 15, 2008 | February 21, 2020 - elainescreations

I haven’t had much stamping time this past week because I’ve been working out in the yard. Spring is here and we finally have the budget to do a little landscaping. Well, a little turned into a lot! But I’m looking forward to seeing my roses, wisteria, and jasmine grow! And I can’t wait to eat some mandarin oranges and lemons from our own trees!

But now, back to stamping! We had our monthly meeting last week and we made this great card organizer as one of our projects! I think this would make a great gift for birthdays, teachers, friends, etc.
We started with one piece of so saffron cardstock 7 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and scored it at 2 1/2″, 5″ and 10 1/2″ lengthwise. Next we took another piece of so saffron cardstock 7 1/2″ x 8″ and scored it at 2 1/2″ lengthwise. These two pieces create the outside of the box.For the sides we took 2 pieces of so saffron cardstock 6″ x 5 1/4″ and scored them every 1/2″ lengthwise. Then we accordian folded them and used the crop-a-dile to punch holes in the tops and bottoms so we could string some hemp through. We attached the pieces together and added some Le Jardin dsp layered with always artichoke.I added a ribbon handle on the top and some dividers with tabs for birthday cards, baby cards, thank you cards, and other misc. cards. Edited to add: My upline did a tutorial! Check it out!

Elaine, your Card Organizer is Beautiful!! Thank you so much for the measurements and details!! These card organizers are so wonderful to have or give as gifts. It sounds like your yard is going to be beautiful with the roses, wisteria and jasmine. Once everything is blooming you will have to take some pictures to post.

Wow! I’m impressed. I thought this was something you bought and just covered. But you made the whole thing! It looks very professionally made. Love it.

It turned out so cute. I love how you finished it with the handle and the circles on the front. I copied your idea for the ribbon handle! 🙂
